Meanwhile, Namitete Zitha have registered their first win of the season by beating Mighty Tigers 2-0 to move from position 11 to 10th, pushing down Bangwe All Stars to 11th.
At the bottom are Changalume Barracks, who have earned their first point after drawing 2-2 with Chilobwe United. Now with 5 points, Chilobwe have moved from 8th to 6th, pushing down Mighty Tigers to 7th.
It also depends on the result between Ndirande Stars and Ntaja United, who have 4 points and have been pushed from 7th to 8th.
At Rumphi Stadium, Songwe Border took the lead in the 23rd minute through Richard Cheyo following an assist from Gule Mwaisope, that took them all the way to the 80th minute when Embangweni equalised.

In the 2-2 draw at Mpira Stadium, Chilobwe United took the lead in the 2nd minute through Madalitso Chisomba following a blunder from a Changalume defender before Changalume equalised in the 13th through Akim Mponda assisted by Ibrahim Mkwate.
Chilobwe restored their lead in the 29th in astonishing fashion as Chinsomba claimed his brace after receiving a long pass from his goalkeeper Kondwani Chilangani to rest the score at 2-1 for the half time break.
On the hour mark, Akim Mponda equalised for Changalume Barracks after received a good pass from Bressings Harawa for the two to eventually share the spoils.
At Zomba Stadium, where Mighty Tigers were hosting Namitete Zitha, the visitors went into the lead in the 15th through Alexander Cosmas when he pounced on a corner kick that was cleared by Kondwani Langa and fell on Cosmas’ path.
There were two brothers on the pitch for Namitete Zitha and in 45+2, Chimenya Symon lobbed the ball over Tigers’ defence to find his sibling Alexander who easily scored his brace.
The two brothers are enterprising and charismatic in their team and from a distance they seem like they are twins but Alexander is the elder. They are combining very well, making positional rotations and Tigers seemed they were unable to figure them out.
