Leaders Blue Eagles with 31 points will be up against runners-up Nyasa Big Bullets with 30 points at Mpira Stadium on Sunday, a day after 3rd-placed and defending champions Mighty Wanderers had faced 4th-placed Silver Strikers — who are sharing 29 points but separated by goal difference.
In the relegation zone, the rock bottom of the table Creck Sporting with 10 points will begin their campaign to avoid demotion when they will face 6th-placed Moyale on Sunday at Civo Stadium.
Kamuzu Barracks, who are former elite league champions (2016), but are placed on 15th with 12 points, will meet Ekhaya (11th/18pts) on Saturday at Mpira Stadium.
On 14th place with 13 points are MAFCO, who are up against Chitipa United (7th/21pts) at Karonga Stadium.

The middle pack has Masters FC on 5th with 22 points and are away to face 12th-placed Dedza Dynamos on Sunday while LUANAR Mitundu (8th/20pts) will be at home Dedza Dynamos to host Red Lions, who 9th bit share points.
This will be another intriguing encounter as both joined the FDH Bank Premiership from the 2nd-tier NBS Bank National Division League (NDL).
The Lions of Zomba emerged champions while Mitundu were runners up and in the first round on May 23, the military side won 1-0 at Zomba Stadium.
Civil Service United, who are 10th also with 20 points, are on the road to meet Karonga United on Sunday at Karonga Stadium.

Meanwhile, the defending champions, who sent head coach Bob Mpinganjira after the Nomads lost 1-2 to Ekhaya in Airtel Top 8 final on August 31, have reinstated him.
In a statement from the club’s Board secretary, Chancy Gondwe, says this follows a thorough review of the technical setup.
He was removed ahead of crucial two legs of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against Tanzanian side, Simba.

Coach Bob Mpinganjira
Under Bob Mpinganjira’s assistant coach, McDonald Mtetemera, the Nomads lost 0-1 at home Bingu National Stadium before being thrashed 1-6 at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam — 1-7 on aggregate.
They then went on to lose to Blue Eagles 0-2 in their last match of the 1st round, to move from 2nd position to 3rd.
Blue Eagles go into the 2nd round having secured a K250 million sponsorship with Standard Bank for the rest of the season.
