“As part of our commitment to elevating women’s sport, SuperSport is ‘Here for Her’, showcasing the very best of international women’s football,” says the broadcaster in its statement.

“With expert pre-match analysis, immersive camera angles, entertaining post-match banter, engaging talk shows, and world-class commentary, you’ll experience the Women’s Euros like never before.”

SuperSport highlights that the 14th edition of the Euro Women’s Championship is set to light up Switzerland comprising 16 of Europe’s top national teams to battle it out for continental glory across eight host cities — Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St Gallen, Thun, Lucerne and Sion.

“With over 720,000 tickets issued, Euro 2025 is poised to be one of the most widely attended women’s football events in history — showcasing elite talent, passionate fan support, and the continued rise of the women’s game on the global stage.”

The reigning champions are England after their historic Wembley win in 2022, who enter this edition with confidence — under Sarina Wiegman, who is touted to become the first manager to win three straight Euros with different countries.

The Three Lionesses are in Group D, which is described as the toughest, featuring France, Netherlands, and debutants (as well as arch regional rivals) Wales.

Switzerland, hosting for the first time, aims for a strong display on home soil in Group A alongside Norway, Iceland, and Finland. Their campaign also includes significant legacy objectives, aiming to double female participation to 80,000 by 2027 under the ‘Here to Stay’ plan.

Group stage breakdown

Group A: Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Finland: Switzerland’s favourable draw sets them up for a potential quarterfinal run. Norway brings experience with stars like Ada Hegerberg and Caroline Graham Hansen, while Iceland and Finland offer competitive surprises.

Group B: Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy: World champions Spain, led by Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí, are clear favourites. Portugal and Belgium return with momentum – Belgium reached the 2022 quarters – while Italy remains a dark horse.
