TNM Super League 2025 debutantes, Ekhaya FC are proving their mettle in the elite league by hammering seasoned side, Mzuzu City Hammers 3-1 at their own backyard, to maintain their 3rd place on the table with 19 points from 9 games — of 6 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.

Goals from Andrew Lameck (7’), Wongani Kaponya (30’) and Clever Chikwata (47’) condemned Mzuzu City Hammers to the defeat, though they equalised through Samson Olatubosun (18’) as the champions of the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League 2025 eye a shot at the elite title.

Ahead of the triumph over Mzuzu City Hammers yesterday, they beat Creck Sporting Club 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium the previous weekend through goal from Clever Chikwata, in a game Happy Mphepo’s rock solid performance at the back earned him the Player of the Match award.

On Wednesday, July 2, Songwe United will host Mighty Wanderers at Karonga Stadium; Creck Sporting date Silver Strikers at Dimba Stadium with Nyasa Big Bullets returning to action following their assignment in Airtel Top 8 with a date against Ekhaya FC at Kamuzu Stadium.
Nyasa Big Bullets will next be hosted by Civil Service United at Civo Stadium on Monday, July 7 — on a day Karonga United will host Kamuzu Barracks at Karonga Stadium and Dedza Dynamos travelling to Nkhotakota to meet MAFCO at Chitowe.
On July 5 — ahead of the Independence Day Celebrations on July 6, Mighty Tigers are expected to host Mzuzu City Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium.
