Ever paid less and unlocked more? — DStv does through ‘We Got You’ promotion, which has been rolled between January 1 to February 28 reconnecting customers and new DStv subscribers.

In a statement, DStv takes cognizance that “January is the month where life picks up speed again – school runs, budgets tighten, and homes everywhere start looking for easy wins that make the year feel lighter”.
“That’s why DStv is opening 2026 with something customers can genuinely feel — pay your usual package, and DStv unlocks more entertainment for you – at no extra cost.
The ‘We Got You’ upgrade rewards customers simply for staying connected and during the period active customers, reconnecting customers and new DStv subscribers who pay for their package in full will automatically be upgraded to the next package.

Who qualifies — current DStv customers who stay connected; customers who reconnect during the promotion period and new subscribers who join between January 1 to February 28.
All qualify to receive the upgrade once payment reflects through using the DStv website, the new MyDStv App, USSD, mobile money (where available), banking channels, card payments or walk-in agencies.
The procedure for the upgrade is simply paying for DStv Access to get DStv Family; DStv Family to get DStv Compact; DStv Compact to get DStv Compact Plus; and DStv Compact Plus to get DStv Premium.

“The upgrade applies to decoder viewing and at the end of the promotion period, you’ll simply return to your usual package,” says the statement. “DStv wants customers to start the year with value that matters.
“The ‘We Got You’ upgrade lets households pay less but unlock more — more stories, more channels, more sport, more kids’ favourites, more local entertainment, and more international hits.
“It’s a simple offer designed to bring families together without stretching January budgets. It’s our way of saying ‘We Got You’,” says the statement.
