Uganda have lifted the Africa Netball Cup 2026 having beaten South Africa 56-53 at the tournament that were also the qualifier for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027.

Malawi Queens, who lost 46-62 to their fierce rivals, South Africa in semifinals on Friday before securing the bronze by beating Namibia 50-45 in 3rd place play-off qualified for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 for reaching the last four.
South Africa and Uganda automatically qualified due to being in top six on World Netball Ranking — joining hosts Australia (No. 1), New Zealand (2), Jamaica (3), England (4) — with South Africa being 5th and Uganda 6th.
Other teams at the tournament are Scotland & Northern Ireland from the European regional qualifier; Tonga & Samoa from the Pacific region — with remaining berths for the total of 16 teams to be determined from Americas and Asia regions.
