Bullets Women beat Civil Women take lead of NBM Women’s Premiership log table

* And they have also achieved this in style as in the first round of the inaugural 2025/26 NBM Women’s Premiership, they drew 1-1 with the Civil Women before losing 0-1 in the second

* As Mighty Wanderers Queens have moved from 9th position to 6th having beaten debutants FACT Ladies 4-1

Nyasa Big Bullets Women have beaten Civil Service Women 1-2 this Sunday afternoon away at Civo Stadium and have taken the lead of the NBM Women’s Premiership log table.

They have amassed 6 points, which they share with Silver Strikers Ladies and separated by goal difference.

The Bullets Women have scored 4 goals and not conceded having beaten debutants Chitoliro Heroines FC 3-0 in the opening.

Silver Ladies, who beat Kukoma Ntopwa Women 3-1 in opening match and debutants Chitoliro Heroines 2-1 on Saturday, have a goal difference to of two from 5 goals and conceding two.

The Bullets Women have also achieved this in style as in the first round of the inaugural 2025/26 NBM Women’s Premiership, they drew 1-1 with the Civil Women before losing 0-1 in the second.

Thus they have exacted their revenge in this Season 2 — a result that also saw the Civil Women giving up the leadership of the log table after winning their opening match 5-1 against Mighty Wanderers Queens.

The match was balanced at 0-0 until the 74th when the Bullets Women broke the deadlock through Vanessa Issa assisted by Ireen Mbesa.

Meanwhile, Mighty Wanderers Queens have moved from 9th position to 6th having beaten debutants FACT Ladies 4-1 at Mpira Stadium through goals from Falunah Umali, Atuweni Njilima, Falunah Umali and Tawina Kawaga.

Umali opened the lead two minutes into the second half when Estere January assisted Umali, whose shot was deflected into the net by a defender but claimed the goal as it was a shot on target.

In the 66th, Estere January once more  came up with an assist, sending a good pass to Atuweni Njilima who put the  ball into the net for the second goal.

Just three minutes later, Falunah Umali claimed her brace of the day from the penalty spot after a handball in the box.

And two minutes later, the 71st, Wanderers Queens completed the rout making it 4-0 through Tawina Kawaga’s screamer — again Estere January claiming the assist.

FACT Ladies, who have three points having beaten fellow debutants Rumphi Sisters 1-0, pulled one back in the 84th.

It was a howler by goalkeeper, Esther Maulidi, who had wanted to dribble past Evelyn Dallas but the alert forward stole the ball away from her to score into an empty net.
