Blue Eagles lead the FDH Bank Premiership 2026 log table with 19 points but sharing with runners-up Nyasa Big Bullets and separated by goal difference.

After playing nine games each, the title race is far from taking a break as the reigning league champions, Mighty Wanderers, are 3rd with 18 points, also sharing with 4th-placed Silver Strikers.
Red Lions, who returned to the top flight league they were demoted from by becoming champions of the 2nd-tier NBS Bank National Division League (NDL), are doing well on 6th place and sharing 15 points with 4th-placed Ekhaya FC.
Red Lions’ runners up in the NBS Bank NDL, Mitundu Baptist, who partnered with LUANAR FC to rebrand to LUANAR Mitundu, are on position 9th with 11 points.
The Lions of Zomba are also sharing 15 points with 7th-placed Masters FC, who rebranded from Baka City, who ended on 3rd place in the NBS Bank NDL.

Moyale FC are on the cutting off point of the qualification for the Airtel Top 8 championship with 12 points — one ahead of LUANAR Mitundu and 10th-placed Civil Service United, who share 11 points.
In the red relegation zone with six games left to play in the first round are former elite league champions, Kamuzu Barracks on rock bottom 16th with 4 points, following Creck Sporting on 15th with 5 points and Dedza Dynamos on 14th with 8 points.
Dedza are just a point away from 13th-placed Karonga United and MAFCO (12th), who both have 9 points — and two away from Chitipa United, who are 11th with 10 points.
Thus this makes this race very tight in the fight for the crown, runners-up spot and the 3rd place as well as to remain or get into the top eight for the Airtel lucrative Airtel championship.

Meanwhile, the FDH Bank Premiership takes a break this weekend to pave way for the Airtel Top 8 2026 second legs of the quarterfinals.
On Saturday, Ekhaya FC go into the second leg at 1-1 with Nyasa Big Bullets to be played at Mpira Stadium while Civil Service United will host Blue Eagles having drawn 0-0 in the first encounter.

Mighty Wanderers, who have a 2-0 cushion from the first leg, will be away at Aubrey Dimba Stadium on Sunday while Silver Strikers will be at Karonga Stadium, also leading 2-0.
