A hat-trick from Ephraim Kondowe and one each from Wongani Lungu and Misheck Billiat saw Big Bullets thrash Silver Strikers 5-0 this Saturday afternoon at Mpira Stadium.

They conclude the first round of the FDH Bank Premiership at the summit of the table, albeit temporarily as they await the outcome of the last match of the first round to be played on September 19.
This will be between 4th-placed Blue Eagles and runners-up Mighty Wanderers, which was put on bye as the Nomads have CAF Champions League preliminary round matches against Tanzanian side, Simba Sports Club.
The first leg will be played on Sunday at Bingu National Stadium before the second leg away on Friday, September 11.

The Bullets have thus toppled the Bankers from the top and pushed them further to 3rd place following the huge 5-0 defeat.
Ephraim Kondowe attained his hat-trick in the 2nd, 34th and 61st with the other goals from Lungu in the 43rd and Billiat in the 70th.
They have amassed 30 points — one ahead of Wanderers and Silver and two ahead of Blue Eagles (28 points).

Masters FC have maintained their 5th place but also temporary after drawing 0-0 with Red Lions at Zomba Stadium to amass 22 points.
They await the outcome of Sunday’s encounter between 9th-placed Chitipa United (20 points) who face rock bottom of the table Creck Sporting Club at home, Chitipa Stadium.
Meanwhile, Red Lions have amassed 20 points and also temporarily moved from 8th place to 7th as they await results of Sunday’s match involving LUANAR Mitundu (19 points), who have been pushed to 10 ahead of their encounter against Dedza Dynamos.
Moyale beat MAFCO 2-1 through goals from Black Alisen in the 22 and Nadrick Nyirenda in the 86th while MAFCO scored through Peter Kasonga, which was an eqauliser in the 77th.
Another match tomorrow of interest is between the now 11th-placed Ekhaya FC with 17 points and 14th-placed Karonga United (13 points to be played at Mpira Stadium.
