Malawi Scorchers Limited Edition jerseys back on market

* To be available for sale at Bingu National Stadium during the Scorchers Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 qualifier against Zimbabwe on Friday

The Limited Edition jerseys, that were produced specially for the Scorchers debut appearance at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAfCON) in Morocco, are back on the market.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) indicates that the authentic replica jerseys will be available for sale at Bingu National Stadium during the Scorchers Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 qualifier against Zimbabwe on Friday, October 9 at MK100,000.

The Scorchers wore the black colours of the jerseys during the final of the WAfCON Morocco 2026 in which they lost 0-3 to Cameroon to clinch silver.

And they wore the red colours when they qualified for the semifinals that also booked them a place at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027.

They also wore the red colours when the Scorchers announced their intention at the continental women’s football fiesta by beating 10-time winners and defending champions Nigeria 3-2 in the opening match.

Meanwhile, tickets for the match are available, which FAM is encouraging fans to buy through online; https://www.famticketsmw.com to enjoy a discount of K1,000 for Standard Ticket being offered at K4,000 while the physical ticket is at K5,000.

The VIP is less by K5,000 through online at K10,000 with K15,000 for physical while the Corporate Box is at K200,000 for 10 people.

FAM wants the large numbers into order to highly rally behind the Scorchers to register a strong win in the 1st leg before travelling for the reverse fixture to be held on October 13.

The winners will progress to the next round to face winners between Kenya and Seychelles in February next year.

There are 32 teams in the 2nd round from which 16 teams will qualify to the 3rd round to compete eight teams that will go to Round 4.

The final four nations will compete in the last round to determine two teams to represent Africa for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

After their fairytale at the WAfCON, much more is expected from the Scorchers to bulldoze Zimbabwe aside and the home fans will play a huge part.
