With four games left to wrap up the first round, the race for the FDH Bank Premiership 2026/27 title is still very tight as three teams are sharing 22 points and separated by goal difference.

And all three have been fixed matches tomorrow, August 8 and all are away as the leaders Mighty Wanderers will be at Mzuzu Stadium to meet Moyale.
Second-placed Silver Strikers will be at Civo Stadium to meet 16th-placed Creck Sporting while Blue Eagles on 3rd are at Chitowe to meet MAFCO (11th with 12 points).
Also on Saturday is a match between 6th-placed Ekhaya (16 points) and Dedza Dynamos 14th/11pts) at Mpira Stadium.
On Sunday, Nyasa Big Bullets — on 4th place with 20 points — are at home Mpira Stadium hosting 8th-placed Chitipa United (16 points) while 5th-placed Masters FC (17 points) will host Civil Service United (13th/11pts) at Nankhaka.
Placed on 9th with 15 points, LUANAR Mitundu at home Dedza Stadium to host Karonga United (12th/12pts) and Red Lions (10th/15pts) up against Kamuzu Barracks (15th/10pts) at Zomba Stadium.
It is that tight at 22 points for Wanderers (1st), Silver (2nd), Eagles (3rd); for Bullets (4th/20pts) and Masters 5th/17pts).
At 16 points each are three Ekhaya (6th); Moyale (7th) and Chitipa (8th) as the cutting off point for the qualification of the Airtel Top 8.
Threatened with being caught up by those in the relegation zone are LUANAR Mitundu (9th/15pts); Red Lions (10th/15pts); MAFCO (11th/12pts); Karonga United (12th/12pts); and Civil Service United (13th/11pts).
In the red relegation zone are Dedza Dynamos (14th/11pts), Kamuzu Barracks (15th/10pts, and Creck Sporting at rock bottom 16th with a meager 5 points.
