Six assignments of Matchweek 13 of the NBS Bank National Division League (NDL) have been spread out in midweek up to Sunday — starting this afternoon and tomorrow.

Struggling in the relegation zone on 11th place, Bangwe All Stars will host 3rd-placed Mzuzu City Hammers this afternoon at Mpira Stadium.
Bangwe All Stars, who lost 0-1 to Chilobwe United in their opening match of the second round, have just 6 points from one win and three draws while Mzuzu Hammers are firm in contention for the top three places up for grabs.
They have 21 points, seven behind the log table leaders Songwe Border, who have 28 ahead of their encounter against Ntaja United, who are placed on 7th with 16 points.
Songwe Border, who opened a 3-point lead after beating rock bottom of the table Changalume Barracks 2-1 last Saturday, date Ntaja United at home Karonga Stadium on Saturday.
Songwe will need to tread carefully against Ntaja, who managed to draw 0-0 with Mzuzu City Hammers to maintain their 7th place with 16 points.
Runners-up Extreme FC, who dropped all three points on Sunday when they were beaten 4-1 by FOMO FC at Mulanje Park, are at home on Sunday to host 6th-placed Namitete Zitha at Owen Malijani Stadium in Mchinji.
Namitete are fresh from beating 4th-placed Embangweni United 4-2 on Saturday, a performance that must have galvanized them ahead of Sunday’s match at Owen Malijani Stadium, which is also their home venue.
Embangweni, meanwhile, will host Changalume Barracks, who so far have not won any match and have 4 points from four draws — two points behind Bangwe All Stars on 11th; and six behind Mighty Tigers on 10th in the relegation zone.
Mighty Tigers amassed 10 points on Sunday when they drew 1-1 with Ndirande Stars at Mpira Stadium and they are back at their home venue on Sunday, this time as visitors against Chilobwe United — as an NDL Blantyre derby.
Chilobwe, who beat Bangwe All Stars 1-0 in what was also an NDL derby at Mpira Stadium, are 5th on the log table with 18 points, sharing with 7th-placed Namitete United.
After their draw with Tigers, which they earned in the 86th minute having trailed right from the 8th, Ndirande Stars have 15 points and placed on 9th, the cut off point for the relegation zone.
They are at home Mpira Stadium in the other midweek assignment to be played tomorrow against 8th FOMO FC, whom they share 15 points with.
It will be an interesting encounter as FOMO are in exhilarating mood having beaten runners-up Extreme 4-1 while Ndirande will be eyeing nothing short of pushing away from the relegation zone cut off point.
