Silver Strikers, who opened a 7-point lead after beating runners-up Ascent Soccer last week at home, are on the road to face rock bottom of the table Topik Academy at Mzuzu Stadium, while Ascent are at home to host Civil Service Women — both matches kicking off at 10h00 on Sunday.

The Silver Ladies have 33 points while Ascent Soccer have 26 and on 3rd place are Mighty Wanderers Queens with 20 points, who host 7th-placed Kukoma Ntopwa Women (18 points) at Mpira Stadium from 10h00 on Saturday.
On 4th place with 19 points are FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women, who travel to Mzuzu to face Moyale Sisters on Saturday (10h00), who sit on relegation zone’s 8th position with 5 points.
Fifth-placed MDF Lionesses also with 19 points are at home Champions Stadium on Saturday (10h00) to host MK Academy, who have four points in the relegation zone’s 9th position.

So, Sunday’s two assignments are the headline fixtures as they involve the front runners, while Silver Ladies sniper, Deborah Henry, will be aiming to increase her tally of goals as the leading top scorer in the race for the Golden Boot.
Deborah lead the scorer’s chart with 18 goals, eight ahead of three players, Ascent Soccer’s internationals, Leticia Chinyamvula & Mayamiko Mkandawire and Mighty Wanderers Tawina Kawaga with 8 goals apiece.
On 6 goals apiece are Mercy Mkandawire of Civil Service Women and Kukoma Ntopwa Women’s Takondwa Gambuleni and further three tie on 5 goals apiece — Jessie Yosefe (Civil Service Women), Kondawo Banda (Kukoma Ntopwa Women) and Vanessa Issa (FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women).
