To be held at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi, the conference will be celebrated under the theme; ‘The Currency of Trust: Governance as Strategy, Assurance as Proof’ — which speaks to Malawi’s ambition to build a more resilient economy through industrialisation.
CDH Investment Bank believes this objective that requires close collaboration among government, the private sector and financial institutions — thus is support towards the conference.
Presenting the cheque, CDH Investment Bank Chief Internal Auditor, Christopher Ngwira said the sponsorship reflected the bank’s appreciation of IIA Malawi’s contribution to stronger governance across the economy.
“Well-governed institutions are better placed to support national development,” said Ngwira, who added with emphasis that “the audit profession has a critical role in strengthening integrity and resilience”.
“By providing independent assurance on governance, risk management and internal controls, auditors help organisations prevent fraud, meet evolving regulatory requirements and safeguard resources.
“As Malawi expands financial inclusion and digital banking, he added, robust internal audit functions remain essential to trustworthy service delivery, prudent risk management and sustainable growth.”
