Silver Strikers Ladies have qualified for the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League-COSAFA Qualifier when they beat eSwatini’s Nsingizini Hotspurs 5-1 this Tuesday afternoon.

Following their 2-1 victory over Mozambique’s Costa do Sol in their first Group B match, the Bankers have amassed 6 points to end up as runners-up to South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, who beat Costa do Sol 4-1 in the other Group B match.
Costa do Sol beat Nsingizini Hotspurs after their loss to Silver to earn three points and end on 3rd place while Sundowns — who thrashed Nsingizini Hotspurs 8-0 and Silver 4-0, are ahead with 9 points.
The Silver Ladies will meet ZESCO Ndola of Zambia in the semifinals while Sundowns book a date with hosts Gaborone United — both to be played on Thursday, August 27.
The Silver Ladies were on the scoresheet as early as the 2nd minute through Grace Kakangula through an assist from Mathyola, who made a beautiful run forward on the left flank and crossed the ball in for Kakangula to finish it off.
Mathyola doubled the lead in the 45’+3’ and while Gladys Banda extended it to 3-0 in the 50th before Mathyola claiming his brace in the 56th.
The goal was assisted by international Ireen Khumalo, who started a move on the left and released the ball to Mathyola who went on to beat the keeper to score.

Her hat-trick came in the 63rd again Khumalo in thick of things, who curled in a beautiful pass to Gladys Banda but her effort was saved and Mathyola pounced on the rebound to score.
Nsingizini Hotspurs pulled one back in the 76th after staging a good move that broke the defense to find space to score.
