Nyasa Big Bullets, who were displaced from the top of the TNM Super League 2025 by Mighty Wanderers last Sunday, have reclaimed their leadership after beating Moyale FC 3-0 this afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium.

They scored through Chikumbutso Salima (11’), up-and-coming star Sean MacBrams (37’) and Chawanangwa Gumbo (78’) to move increase their points to 24, three ahead of Wanderers.

Nyasa Bullets were one point behind Wanderers in 8 games each played ahead of the match against Moyale while Wanderers’ next assignment is up against Karonga United on Sunday, June 29, at the Nomads’ dreaded venue, Karonga Stadium, where they were ousted from the Airtel Top 2025 in in the first round.

Meanwhile, having been in the middle of the table for sometime, defending champions Silver Strikers have risen three steps up the ladder from 8th to 5th after beating Karonga United 3-1 through goals from Chinsinsi Maonga (37’), Chimwemwe Idana (61’) and Festus Duwa (63’).

Karonga United, who were defeated by Nyasa Big Bullets last Saturday in the semifinals of the Airtel Top 8 2025, managed to equalise through Patrick Phiri from the penalty spot in the 51st minute against the Bankers, who went into the match much galvanised after beating Civil Service United 2-1 in the Airtel Top 8 semifinal on Sunday.

In other results today, Chitipa United have condemned table anchors, Songwe United to their 9th loss in their debut appearance, beating the debutantes 4-0 through goals from Rajab Nyirenda (11’), Trouble Kajanga (37’), Manucho Msiska (61’) and Andrew Joseph (90+1’).

The result by Chitipa United moved them to 9th place from 12th as it keeps Songwe rooted at the bottom and certainly only eyeing to keep afloat to stay in the elite league — in which the 10 matches they have played, they only managed to record one and they have now conceded 29 goals while scoring three.

Civil Service United made amends over their ousting from the Airtel Top 8 2025 by beating Creck Sporting 2-0 through Dustin Banda (50’) and Dastain Banda (70’) — to move from 15th place to 12th while Creck Sporting have been pushed to 10th following the movement by Silver Strikers and Chitipa United.

Up next in the race for the TNM Super League 2025 in Week 12 (Saturday, June 28) is between Creck Sporting up against Moyale FC at Dimba Stadium; Kamuzu Barracks v Civil Service United at Champion Stadium; Mzuzu City Hammers v Chitipa United at Rumphi Stadium and MAFCO v Mighty Tigers at Chitowe.

On Sunday, June 29, Dedza Dynamos will host team of the moment, debutantes Ekhaya FC at Dedza Stadium, who are proving their mettle in the elite league as just last Saturday, they hammered seasoned side, Mzuzu City Hammers 3-1 at their own backyard, to maintain their 3rd place on the table with 19 points from 9 games — of 6 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.

Goals from Andrew Lameck (7’), Wongani Kaponya (30’) and Clever Chikwata (47’) condemned Mzuzu City Hammers to the defeat, though they equalised through Samson Olatubosun in the 18th minute.

Ekhaya FC, the champions of the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League 2025, eye a shot at the elite title and after their assignment against Dedza Dynamos away on Sunday, they will face their biggest challenge yet if they would prove to be giant killers — against Nyasa Big Bullets on their Wednesday assignment of July 2 at home, Kamuzu Stadium.

Ekhaya entered the TNM Super League 2025 title contest by first beating Mighty Tigers 2-0 in their opener through goals from Lovemore Mbeta and Emmanuel Saviel; 1-0 against Civil Service United (Wongani Kaponya) before a 0-1 loss to Chitipa United away.

They then beat Songwe United 2-1 (Christopher Gototo & Stanley Billiat); losing 0-1 to Kamuzu Barracks in the next before beating Karonga United 2-0 (Chimwemwe Yasin & Clever Chikwata) and drawing 0-0 with Blue Eagles.

Ahead of the triumph over Mzuzu City Hammers, they beat Creck Sporting Club 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium the previous weekend through a goal from Clever Chikwata, in a game Happy Mphepo’s rock solid performance at the back earned him the Player of the Match award.

On Wednesday, July 2, Songwe United will host Mighty Wanderers at Karonga Stadium; Creck Sporting date Silver Strikers at Dimba Stadium with Nyasa Big Bullets returning to action following their assignment in Airtel Top 8 with a date against Ekhaya FC at Kamuzu Stadium.

Nyasa Big Bullets will next be hosted by Civil Service United at Civo Stadium on Monday, July 7 — on a day Karonga United will host Kamuzu Barracks at Karonga Stadium and Dedza Dynamos travelling to Nkhotakota to meet MAFCO at Chitowe.

On July 5 — ahead of the Independence Day Celebrations on July 6, Mighty Tigers are expected to host Mzuzu City Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium.
