SuperSport has secured rights to be beaming the rest of the qualifiers of the Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) Pamoja 2027 up to tournament finals itself to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

In a statement, CANAL+ and MultiChoice Africa announced that they signed an agreement with Confédération of African Football (CAF) to bring the continent’s biggest sporting events to SuperSport audiences across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The qualifiers Matchday 1 concluded this Sunday in which 48 nations were drawn into 12 groups of four and competing across six matchdays for places at the 24-team finals.
Matchdays 1 and 2 run through to October 6, with the remaining qualifiers taking place in November 2026 and March 2027.
Malawi Flames lead Group B after beating South Sudan 2-1 on Friday at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, while Egypt were held 0-0 by Angola in Cairo.
The Flames will next meet Angola away on October 6 before facing Egypt in back-to-back during the November 2026 international window.
They will first travel to Cairo for Matchday 3 before hosting the Pharaohs in Lilongwe for Matchday 4 within November 9-17.
CANAL+ Africa Chief Executive, David Mignot is quoted in the statement saying the agreement represents an important moment for African football audiences.

The 24-team tournament next year will mark the first time three nations have jointly hosted the AfCON finals and its return to East Africa for the first time since Ethiopia staged the competition in 1976.
The agreement also extends CANAL+’s reach in French-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa, where the qualifiers will be broadcast in French across more than 20 countries, while AfCON Pamoja 2027 will be accessible to audiences across the continent from entry-level packages — creating greater opportunities for fans to follow their national teams and experience the competition.
The statement adds: “For SuperSport, securing both the qualifying campaign and AfCON Pamoja 2027 finals further strengthens its position as a leading destination for African football, giving audiences access to the journey from qualification through to the continental showpiece.
