In a report, Mangochi Police PRO, lnspector Amina Tepani Daudi Police acknowledged the donation as “a key factor that contributed to the district recording zero serious crime and zero road traffic accidents during the festive period.Despite unfavourable weather conditions, the officers remained dedicated to duty.”

The corporates involved included Chibuku Products Ltd, National Bank of Malawi, FINCA along with filling stations of Total, Mankhwala PUMA and Soko Mount Meru — as well as Papas Shop and the Burundi nationals community, as part of corporate social responsibility and community support initiatives.

Daudi indicates investment enhanced police mobility and enabled officers, working jointly with Community Policing Forum members, to conduct intensified day and night patrols, snap roadblocks, road safety enforcement, and crime prevention activities across the district.

“Mangochi Police further commends the Community Policing Forum members for their active participation in joint patrols, noting that their involvement strengthened community surveillance, information sharing, and public cooperation,” says Daudi.

Mangochi Police thus applauds all donors and community partners for their commitment to public safety, describing the gesture as “a true demonstration of partnership in promoting peace and security”.

The Police also assures the district’s members of the public that they will put extra gear to their service delivery and have appealed for continued cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and safe Mangochi District.
