Mighty Wanderers have crashed out of the CAF Champions League preliminary round after being thrashed 6-1 in the second leg at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

The Tanzanian giants go through to next round 7-1 on aggregate having won 1-0 in the first leg at Bingu National Stadium last Sunday.
The Nomads scored the consolation when they were already down by three goals to nil as Simba FC took the lead in the 7th minute, according to the bulletins posted by Wanderers Media.
Simba doubles the lead in the 27th and made it 3-9 Uhuru Stadium in the 34th, prompting interim coach McDonald Mtetemera to make changes in the 38th, taking out Kamwendo, Mithi, Zulu and Nyirenda for Sama Thierry Tanjong, Nyondo, Kudonto Jnr and Kamanga.
In the 42nd minute, Nyondo was brought down inside the box and penalty awarded to the visitors, which Isaac Kaliati stepped up to convert.
They went for half time recess at 3-1 and in the 53rd, Sama was brought down at the edge of the box. From the free kick, Kaliati’s effort hit the post and on the rebound, Singini’s shot went marginally wide.
Wanderers Media reported that the introduction of Sama Thierry Tanjong paid off as he displayed incredible personality by bulldozing Simba’s defence with vigour.
But in the 88th minute, Wanderers conceded again to make the contest insurmountable for the Nomads at 5-1 on the afternoon and 6-1 on aggregate.
The hosts were goal hungry as their scored their 6th in 90+3′ to wrap up 7-1 on aggregate.
