Launched at Chichiri Shopping Mall in Blantyre, the new biller transaction promotion, ‘Khaa! Your247’, has been designed to encourage Standard Bank customers to embrace digital banking by using 247 platforms to pay their everyday bills.

At the launch, Head of Transaction Banking, Pherandawa Nyirenda said stated that the initiative is part of Standard Bank’s commitment to making banking more convenient, secure and accessible for its customers.

“At Standard Bank we recognise that in this digital era, it is our duty to give our customers the freedom to access financial services, whenever and wherever they are through convenient, secure and efficient channels.

“And that is why we continue to invest in digital solutions such as the 247 App, 247 Online and 247 Mobile to make banking easier and more accessible,” he said.

He added that through the new promotion, the bank also intends to contribute towards the growth of a cashless culture while at the same time giving back to its customers.

“Under this promotion, we will be giving back to our customers through numerous exciting prizes they will win just by paying bills through our 247 platform, taking our customers to great heights.

“But beyond the prizes lies an even bigger purpose, which is to contribute towards a culture where digital and cashless transactions become the preferred way of paying for everyday services,” Nyirenda said.

The 247 platforms enable customers to make bill payments such as for Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM), Water Boards, Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA), DStv & GOtv, and Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) — giving customers a wide range of everyday services for which they can transact digitally.
