Smile Life Insurance Limited, maintain that it remains committed to support 2025 league champions Mighty Wanderers and in promoting the country’s football as a whole, while ‘making Mighty mighty again’.

The sponsors of the Man of the Match winners for the Lali Lubani Road club, have honoured their pledge by presenting cash prizes amounting to K250,000 each to four players who have performed exceptionally well this season so far.
Gaddie Chirwa, who was voted Man of the Match in the NBS Bank Charity Shield in which they beat arch rivals Nyasa Big Bullets FC and and against Creck Sporting in the FDH Bank Premiership, has been awarded K500,000.
Wanderers Media reports that striker Lameck Mithi, who was voted Man of the Match when he scored a hat-trick in 4-1 demolition of Karonga United in the FDH Bank Premiership, was credited with K250,000 along with defenders Stanley Sanudi (against LUANAR Mitundu) and Alex Kambilinya (against Chitipa United).

Wanderers Media quotes Smile Life Insurance’s Business Development Manager, Gonjani Fumulani as saying: “This is our third season working with Mighty Wanderers. We are committed to sustain this partnership and motivate the players as they fight for honours.
“We hope that our contribution will go along way in the process of making Mighty mighty again,” he said, and in his vote of appreciation, Wanderers’ Brands & Marketing Manager, Greyson Chapita said the league champions are grateful to Smile Life Insurance for the continued partnership.
“As Wanderers, we shall work towards making sure that there is mutual benefit in this partnership,” he said. “It is our belief that this support will inject more energy into our players and enhance competition.”

Smile Life Insurance entered into partnership with Mighty Wanderers in 2024 to sponsor the player of the match and also to provide funeral cover to registered Nomads supporters.
From the 13 goals scored six matches played, five are from Lameck Mithi and two each from Promise Kamwendo, Muhammad Sulumba and Isaac Kaliati with one each from Cameroonian Sama Tanjonga and Blessings Singini.

Defender Stanley Sanudi is leading the assists chart with three assists followed by two each from Gaddie Chirwa, Isaac Kaliati and Blessings Mwalilino with one each from Emmanuel Nyirenda and Rajab Nyirenda.

The 2025 league champions pushed themselves to the summit of the FDH Bank Premiership 2026 log table following their 4-0 thrashing of Chitipa United last weekend — sharing 13 points with Silver Strikers on 2nd place and Blue Eagles on 3rd.
