The High Court in Blantyre on Wednesday  made a landmark ruling that Malawi’s former president Dr Bakili Muluzi has no right to remain silent in the corruption cases where he is being accused of stealing MK1.7 billion. Lightning kills Bakili Muluzi ‘s daughter and her friend

Death has been announced of Esmie Muluzi Malisita, daughter of former malawian president Dr. Bakili Muluzi and her friend Hazel Busily in Blantyre. They have been killed by lightning. According Chief of Staff in the Office of the former President, Lameck Daniel Mombela, the incident took place when the two visited a farm in Mpemba. They were then rushed to Mwaiwathu Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
