Nyasa Big Bullets says they look forward to defending the Carlsberg cup they won last season as they will be meeting Changalume Barracks at Kamuzu Stadium on Friday, September 14.
Speaking in an interview with Malawi News Agency on Thursday, Bullets team Manager James Chilapondwa said the Friday game was a tricky fixture as they were meeting with a division side team which they (Bullets) were unaware of their game plan.
“The boys have been told to put an extra effort into the game as they did with the Mitundu game. Mitundu was not a bad side and we did not underrate them and that is why we had the good result, so the same will be applied with tomorrow’s game,” Chilapondwa said.
He then said preparations for the game is going on well adding the friendly game the team had with their reserve side was competitive enough.
Chilapondwa added that Bullets will use almost its full squad during Friday’s game as it was only Miracle Gabeya who is going to miss out as he is nursing injuries.
Bullets sneaked into the Carlsberg cup round of 16 after massacring rookies from Chipiku Central Region Football League side Mitundu FC 8-0 at the country’s soccer Mecca Kamuzu stadium with Mike Mkwate and Nelson Kangunje scoring a brace on the day.
