Malawis Minister of Labour, Youth, Sports & Manpower Development Hon Henry Mussa mp( Ntengo-wa-Minga) the 106th International labour Conference in Geneva and this years theme is ‘Building a future with a decent work.
Hon Mussa was one of the speakers to the high level dialogue on Digital Skills for Jobs for Youth.
In delivering His key note address to the convention on Malawis flagship Community Technical Colleges skills development program for employment creation for the youth of Malawi.
His presentation generated a lot of interest from all regions among them ECOWAS; EAC; SADC and beyond where all would like to borrow a leaf from Malawi.
The high level dialogue reasonates with AU 2017 theme which was proposed by Malawis President Pro Peter Mutharika called, Harnessing the Demographic Dividends, through, Investiments in Youth that was overwhelmingly adopted by AU Summit in January 2017,Addis Ethiopia.
ILO in collaboration with ITU launched a Digital Skills for Youth Jobs , where they intend to create 5million jobs by 2030 and Malawi through the CTC programme have been drafted into the campaign & both financial & technical support shall be considered into the ministry of Labour, Youth, Sports & Manpower Development, who shall serve as a model in the SADC region.
