Revelations have indicated that Former President Joyce Banda abused her office during her tenure of office when she signed the crude oil deal with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 2012.

According to the documents in our posesion,Joyce Banda on 12th May 2012,just a month after she rose to the highest office,using her powers she went ahead to stuck the crude oil deal despite the fact that such deals per law are accompanied by legal opinion from the office of the attorney general, a thing that former Presidn Banda flouted.

The document alleges that with the terms of article 1 of General Conditions,Malawi in this case which is refferd to as the buyer would pay the sum of US $ 25,000,000 by telegraphic transfer to the seller (NNPC) on instruction on which account the NNPC would want the money to be transfered.

An email thread in our possesion has also indicated that other officials who were involoved in the deal are the Reserve Bank Of Malawi Governor,Charles Tchuka,the the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ephraim Mganda Chiume,Joyce Bandas aide Shyle Kondowe and Chief Execuive Officer for National Oil Company of Malawi,Mr Robert Mdeza.
